Biography
John brings over 30 years of experience in project and people management, combined with a deep passion for craftsmanship. His career journey began with 8 years in the Marine Corps, where he honed a diverse range of hands-on skills. From there, John worked in law enforcement, framing, welding, and a variety of other people-focused service industries. His background has shaped John into a true jack of all trades, with a particular focus on craftsmanship and a love for the inner workings of a home. John excels in communication and planning, making him a strong project manager who works closely with his team to ensure every project runs smoothly. He views his role as a service to the client, acting as a spokesman and ensuring that their needs and expectations are met.
Outside of work, John enjoys hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles and dirt bikes. He loves spending time with his wife and 13-year-old daughter, exploring the outdoors, camping, and traveling. When not on the job, John can often be found working on his house, a project that’s never quite finished. John’s decision to join Old Town Design Build was driven by his desire to grow and contribute to an ever-growing industry. His love for homes made this the perfect fit. His multi-faceted expertise, and love for teamwork make him a valuable addition to our team.
Favorite Home Design Style:
John has a particular fondness for industrial design, with its exposed structures and raw materials that showcase the “behind the scenes” of a home. He also appreciates mid-century design for its clean lines, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

Mark’s career path has been just as diverse as his personal interests. He started as a commercial photographer before venturing into entrepreneurship, where he owned a construction firm. His dedication to sustainability led him to take his first Passive House training in 2009, and he now proudly holds the title of Certified Passive House Trades Person (CPHT). Over the years, he has donned various hats, from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager, and even an Operations Manager. Mark’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond his professional endeavors. He generously dedicates his time to organizations like the Colorado Green Building Guild and the Passive House Network, where he actively contributes to the betterment of our environment.
